Welcome!
The READE COLLEGE was founded to elevate the standing of the
complementary therapist by ensuring that every person who trains
through us is taught to the highest level. Over the years we
have taught many people who have gone on to be very successful
therapists in their own field of therapies. Each of our courses
carries practitioners insurance which can be obtained either
through our own broker IPTI.
What
Course?
There are a number of courses available
to the student and no prior qualifications are required to sit
some of our courses, although to sit some of the more specialised
courses you will need a diploma in Massage with A&P (Anatomy
& Physiology). Practitioner Massage course prices start
from £700 and our None - practitioner courses for friends
and family start at £300. If you have qualified through
other organisations, these qualifications are always useful
and in many cases will not be discounted.
About
the Courses
If
you are unsure of what courses you need to become qualified,
massage with A&P is a good foundation course. This course
will give you good basic massage skills and a thorough working
knowledge of A&P. With this course you will also gain you
an internationally recognised diploma and also allow you to
set up your own business, work in health clubs or work from
home. The massage diploma course is also a good stepping-stone
and will allow you to travel abroad as our diploma is recognised
throughout the world. Alternatively you can go on and study
other longer courses, such as reflexology, aromatherapy and
sports massage and injury management. All our courses carry
comprehensive practitioners liability insurance.

Hands
On Approach
Because massage is basically a practical skill, all our courses
concentrate heavily upon the hands-on application of knowledge
and so we insist on many hours of practice before issuing diplomas.
The course work also includes all the theory necessary to ensure
graduates work knowledgeably and safely, with a two hour written
examination for massage and three hours for Aromatherapy, Reflexology
and Sports Massage and Injury Management courses.
